Rainy nights|| Aurora & Mina

borealissinistra:

Aurora had been out on the grass near the lake. She stared up into the sky watching the stars a deeper blanket covered her as she stared peacefully. It was something that calmed her easily as the days seemed to disappear and her worries about her classes and the ones she was failing were completely gone. She was so calm that she had started to doze her hazel eyes getting heavy and then opening up again. Then finally she had completely fell asleep, but as the time ticked and moved on. As the young girl snoozed, grumpy rain cloud rode in ready to wake the sleeping princess.

A rain drop came down slowly and landed on her cheek causing her to groan and flutter her eyes slightly. But one turn in to two and two turned to three and soon she was being pelted by the rain and wide awake.

Aurora threw off her blanket, grabbing her book and tucking it under her. She picked up her blanket and started to make her way towards the entrance her eyes down so she didn’t slip and fall. With her not paying attention she run into something? Someone? and fell back into a puddle. She groaned as she shook her head her drenched hair whipping droplets off “Oww” she mumbled as she looked up at what she bumped into.

Mina was out in the courtyard looking at all the twinkling starts up in the night sky. It had been a long time since she had done this, a real long time. The last time was one she was sitting with Rabastian at the Lestrange estate, when he was pointing out all the other constellations to her. Mina couldn’t remember them now, not even the names, nevertheless their location. She spent a long time just sitting there looking into the night sky hoping that it would trigger something that would help her to remember. Maybe she didn’t want to remember? That was a different time on a different day. It would be a lot easier just to forget about it.

Suddenly, slow drops began to fall and hit Mina on the head. It was raining, but Mina didn’t really mind. She loved the rain and it made her very happy to sit by a window and just watch it fall from the sky. Then it would do it’s never ending cycle. The rain would never be useless because it was all needed. Just like all people are needed from some reason as well. She slowly started to get up and walk down the cobblestone path back to school. The rain was already seeping into her hair and clothes, so there wasn’t really the rush. Execpt if you were Antonin and worried about catching a cold that is.

As she was thinking about this, she didn’t bother noticing Aurora that was running at a really fast speed toward the door. They collided, and Mina gasped as Aurora fell into a puddle. ” I-I’m sorry!” Mina then told her worriedly as she held out a helping hand. She hoped that Aurora wouldn’t be mad after falling into the puddle. She was already wet anyways, right?
